I’m having a conversation here with a neighbor with those I love with members of my community with the thousands of you and all I can think over and over is that there is absolutely no justification or condition, no context that justifies the starvation of children. This is what is happening, has been happening in Gaza, and it is the Israeli government who is directly responsible. It is our country who is indirectly responsible because our politicians have been bought by a powerful lobby. We’re spiraling downwards unless we get at this weaponization of trauma through the ideology of political Zionism says Naomi Klein. Those will be the only complete sentences. It feels stupid to write it down because you’ve heard it all you’ve read it all what is the use perhaps there is no use you agree you disagree but what other power do we have but to speak up even here on the dumb world wide webs because what is happening is not just a topic to debate, to agree on or disagree with or talk about or justify or measure as the aid workers as the doctors grow confused themselves from lack of food as thousands are shot trying to get at food as children starve as the dead bodies of brown children pile up

Agreed. What's going on there is unconscionable. You can believe that Israel should exist as a state (as I do) and have sympathy for Israelis who are under repeated missile attack (as I do) and yet STILL see the Israeli government's treatment of the Palestinians as brutal and unwarranted and genocidal.
So sad and how helpless we seem, no matter how much we scream. And those in power let it go on, until it can no longer continue. In the future, the world will judge us as harshly as the world judged us after the Holocaust. This turning a blind eye.
