Immeasurable heartbreak. I have no words. Just thoughts and prayers. Hoping winds die, and that folks are up to this insurmountable task. I cannot fathom the frightening realities so many face. Anger and fear well up within me as I see politics take stage, not to mention what confronts us all in less than two weeks. Keep hope alive dear Elizabeth. And, of all, please let your readers know if we can personally help you and Sophie. ❤️🙏

It's impossible for me to grasp so much destruction in a city that I love. I still can't wrap my head around it all, and I wonder what it means for the future of LA. For insurance, for economic growth, for all of that. I'm thinking of you and of all Angeleños.

My heart goes out to you all.

Yesterday, we opened our doors to a friend who three years ago lost her home and her livelihood in a devastating flood. She has returned, rebuilt but runs every time the river looks like flooding. After three years of searching for who's to blame, she is exhausted and slowly realising, it is all of us. We must do better, we must find out place in nature before it is too late.

Holding you, your family, friends and friends of friends close. May it let up immediately if not sooner. Sending in all the mojo and magic for relief from NorCal where we know from fires like this but not on this scale. x0x0 N2

I literally just got off the phone and were discussing “the remains of the day,” and expressing what we can do. Then I saw your post. While there is not much I can do practically, I can be a witness - and listen and pass on what news you send. And if, like.Margie said, there is something that we can do for you and Sophie directly, by all means just say.

Much love, and care.

Yes. In my psyche I am destroyed. Yet I dream of outrunning the fire. Last night I dreamt my horse Bodhi who died in 2021, was pregnant. A gelding giving birth. Something impossible will grow out of this and we will keep writing, creating and ...as a psychotherapist I will debrief survivors best I can, where I can.

The part in "On All Fours"- I can't believe this happened. I can't believe this happened. I can't believe this happened...

And on into the infinity of the human mind.

Ah, yes. I remember now. And how utterly relevant. July lives not far from me -- I wonder how she is doing.
