I am disheartened, to say the least, that Amy will be confirmed. She will set us back quite a ways with her judicial philosophy. This photograph by Carl is a stunner -- the light shining through the tree and the bird wing -- fantastic!

Lovely to see you here on substack. I couldn't get here from the link in you blogger post, so I just entered the text into my browser and here we are! You know, of course, that I'll follow you anywhere. Love the photo! Appreciate your thoughts on Amy. Sigh. When he nominated her, I fumed and stomped around (not good for the arthritis in my feet) and finally had to take a deep breath and remember that this slice of life/history is a drop in the universal bucket. My new mantra (from Julian of Norwich): "All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.” Love you!

Always love seeing The Bird Photographer's work. And I echo your sentiments on everything else -- SCOTUS, POSPOTUS, migrating, Facebook -- all of it. Will be watching this space; I'm more and more intrigued by Substack and may be joining you here.

I honestly don't think I've recovered from the shock of the last election. I find myself bracing for the worst every morning when I watch the news.

He certainly doesn't disappoint in the 'worst' category.

What a lovely photo!

So nice to see something untouched by the creep of nastiness in our world.

I know. I, too, have been thinking about how fast and clean we could leave the country. I suppose right now, we can't. That picture is stunning. Just amazing. What an eye the Bird Photographer has!
